FOLIAGE: New growth emerging red-purple then maturing to a bronze-green for summer

FLOWER: Double rose pink flowers during spring, along bare branches with dark purple-red bark

POSITION: Full sun in well-drained soil

USES: An ornamental tree suited for landscaping in home gardens and urban spaces

COMMENTS: Moderate to fast growing. Needs watering well twice a week, in the first year or two.
