The Linden tree is an attractive medium sized deciduous European tree with a spreading, rounded crown.

Size: 15m H x 9m W

Foliage: Glossy, dark green heart-shaped leaves. Turn an attractive yellow-ish green in autumn.

Flowers: Pale yellow, pendulous fragrant flowers in summer then small winged nutlets.

Bark: Interesting ridges and furrows.

Position: Plant in full sun with improved soil.

Uses: Good summer shade tree. Good bee and butterfly attracting tree. Flowers can be used to make a fragrant, soothing tea.
