We take orders all year round for Bare Root Trees. Stock is delivered each year in June and July. We will advise the cost and availability by email or text message when your trees have been received.

A spectacular small multi-stemmed tree, especially when in flower. An excellent feature in small gardens. 

Habit: 3.5m H x 4.5m W

Growth Rate: Slow to moderate

Foliage: Rich purple to plum coloured heart shaped leaves.

Flower: Masses of showy, lavender-pink, pea-type flowers are produced on bare stems in early to mid spring.

Fruit: Can produce fruit similar to pea pods under ideal conditions. Pods can be persistent on the tree over winter.

Position: Prefers a moist, deep well drained position. Avoid hot exposed windy positions.
