Stunning feature tree with a compact spreading habit and masses of spring flowers on bare branches.

Habit: 3m H x 2m W

Growth Rate: Moderate  to slow

Foliage: Large heart-shaped leaves open in spring. Generally exhibits yellow autumn colours.

Flower: Masses of small deep rose pink, pea-like flowers borne in groups along the bare branches before the leaves appear in spring.

Bark: Thin, dark brown to grey

Position: Suited to a wide range of soil types but prefers a moist, deep well-drained position. Avoid hot exposed windy positions.
