FEATURES: A lovely tree, also known as candlestick banksia, is native to South Western Australia and provides an important food source for wildlife, including the honey possum

SIZE: 8m H x 3m W

FOLIAGE: Slender green leaves with a white underside

FLOWER: Tall, yellow flowers from spring to autumn

POSITION: It should be planted in a full sun position in well draining soils

USES: An excellent feature tree for native and coastal gardens. Attracts birds and pollinating insects

COMMENTS: Prune after flowering taking care not to cut into old wood as it may not resprout if cut back too far. Phosphorus sensitive so only use native fertiliser.
