Banksia ashbyi – Ashby’s Banksia

FEATURES: A lovely small native tree with  and smooth, grey bark. It

SIZE: 8m H X 4m W 

FOLIAGE: Leathery, spiked green leaves

FLOWERS:  Orange cone flowers in spring

POSITION: Plant in well drained soils in full sun 

USES: It is a perfect specimen tree for a native gardens, as it has a lovely growth habit and attracts bird and insects to the garden.

COMMENTS: Care must be taken to not expose it to phosphorous. Only be fertilised with native fertiliser.
