Variety that produces gorgeous double flowering racemes up to 3ocm long. Flowers are dark violet-blue and lightly scented.  A vigorous deciduous climber that need a large and strong support, it can be trained up as a standard on a pole support then allowed to canopy out giving a weeping tree effect. Leaves turn buttery yellow before falling in autumn.

Hanging racemes of pea-like flowers are produced in early spring sometimes followed by hanging seed pods. Plant in full sun.
