Often grown for its beautiful timber, the Black Walnut will tolerate dryer soil. It will grow much faster in a deep rich soil with some summer moisture. As it matures, it develops a deep tap root.  Plant in full sun

Width: 20m

Bark: Deeply furrowed. Blackish-grey

Growth rate: Moderate

Fruit: Globose, light green approx 4cm across

Possible Pollinators: Self fertile
