A fascinating carnivorous plant with toothed “jaws”, designed for trapping and consuming unsuspecting insects!

For best results, place the plants in a sunny spot, preferably protected by the afternoon sun and amidst other plants that will offer some dappled sunlight. Venus Fly Trap will do best as an outdoor plant under these conditions. Not recommended for indoors as the air is often too dry. During the growing season, (spring/summer) keep your Venus Fly Trap in a shallow dish of water, allowing it to evaporate before refilling. In the winter months, they will go dormant, so not to worry if the traps or leaves die back. Lengthen intervals between watering (do not keep in a water dish for this period), allowing to dry out a little (but not fully) between waterings.

Must be watered with rainwater or distilled water to keep in optimum health.
