A novel shrub producing small berries that when eaten coat the taste buds and cause acidic foods to taste sweet for 1-2 hours.

Position: Needs a partial sun or dappled shade position. Does best in pots in Perth in an acidic potting mix, like the Blueberry Potting Mix

Size & Habit: 4m shrub, bushy and evergreen. 

Flower: White, star-shaped

Fruit: Small, white flesh

Skin: Deep red, thin

Cropping: Year-round but main fruiting is in winter

Harvest/Maturity: 3 years

Pollination: Self-fertile

Uses: Mainly used for its flavour-changing ability
