A medium growing, olive leaved herb from southern Europe with lilac to purple flowers in summer.  Tough perennial that looks good in any cottage garden. 

Position: Full sun. Well drained soil.

Uses: Can be added at any stage in the cooking and the young leaves are a little milder and can also be used in teas, jellies and various drinks. Use to enhance strong or game flavoured meatts or with stong vegetables, Good in herb stuffing.
