Philodendron sp. ‘Xanadu’

Price range: $16.99 through $94.99

FEATURES: Originally from the Brazilian rainforest, the Philodendron Xanadu is highly adaptable, has a clumping habit instead of a climbing one, and can thrive in a variety of climates and conditions. This makes it one of the best landscaping plants for shady gardens as well as a very popular, easy houseplant.

HEIGHT X WIDTH: 5090cm x 50-70cm in a pot, 1m x 1.6cm in ground. Slow growing.

FOLIAGE: Glossy lime green leaves that are dramatically lobed creating a dense tidy growth habit. Younger leaves will not be as lobed.

FLOWER: Insignificant

POSITION: Bright indirect light. Low light may slow growth and direct light may burn leaves.

USES: Indoors, tropical gardens, patios, shade houses, greenhouses, feature plant, poolside, boarder planting, mass planting.

COMMENTS: Needs well-draining potting mix, fertilise during the warmer months of the year with a foliar fertiliser or a liquid fertiliser. Repot when rootbound, in spring or summer. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering. This species is also easily “stunted” by overcrowding and does not grow as well as possible when numerous specimens are crowded into a single pot. Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
