Limnophilia aromatica – ‘Rice Paddy Herb’

A useful, aquatic herb with aromatic, green foliage and purple flowers. It can grow to 30cm tall and 50cm wide and forms dense mats on the boggy margins or in the shallow water around the edges of ponds. It has its uses in the kitchen, where it lends citrusy flavour when used in cooking.
