Leucadendron salignum 

Price range: $24.99 through $34.99

FEATURES: A small, hardy ornamental shrub, with origins in South Africa

SIZE: 1m H x 1m W

FOLIAGE: Light green narrow leaves which develop red edging on new growth

FLOWER: Red and yellow bracts at the tops of each branch in winter and spring

POSITION: For best results plant in a full sun to part shade position in well drained, slightly acidic soil

USES: Water-wise gardens, low hedges, feature pots, and long-lasting cut floral arrangements

COMMENTS: It is hardy and low maintenance, able to be grown successfully in pots and also tolerant of coastal positions.
