Juniperus squamata – ‘Blue Carpet’

‘Blue Carpet’ is an attractive gunmetal blue groundcover growing to 15cm tall and 2m wide. It makes a great thick groundcover to act as a weed mat, to grow down steep banks or to use in a pot. They need well draining soils as keeping it too moist can cause it to rot and they need a full sun position. They need regular watering whist establishing but once established they are quite drought tolerant. It doesn’t require pruning however if it starts to creep into places in the garden they aren’t wanted you can trim them back.
