Large nitrogen fixing evergreen tree growing up to 10-15 m high. Spreading canopy. Yellow/white pom pom like flowers are followed by pods of inedible black seeds – the edible pulp surrounding the pods is thick, white and juicy and tastes like vanilla ice-cream. Best in full sun with protection from frost.
