Hakea orthorrhyncha – ‘Bird Beak Hakea’

Price range: $16.99 through $24.99

A native shrub with red clusters of flowers appear along the older stems. The pods that follow have a distinct beak, lending to the name Bird Beak Hakea. Use for screening, in native gardens, and for attracting insects and native birds.

Size: 2 – 2.5m high x 2m wide

Flower: Bright red clusters

Foliage: Long, narrow, needle-like

Flowering season: Winter and spring

Plant into well drained, improved soil in an open, full sun position.
