“Captivator” is an old fashioned, semi thornless variety with fruit produced on a small bush.
Habit: Small deciduous bush.
Flower: White Spring flower
Fruit: Large, sweet, pinkish-red, round, striped in summer. Fruit should be fully ripe when picked to obtain the best sweet flavour.
Maturity: November to December
Pollinators: Self fertile
Position: Plant in full sun. More suited to cooler climates.
Uses: Eat fresh when fully ripe, jams, cooking and pies
Comments: The bush is vigorous, mildew resistant and a heavy cropper. Young plants and new shoots have thorns, becomes virtually thornless as it matures.
