Plumeria sp – ‘Black Widow’

A stunning frangipani from the Leelawadee range, it can also be called ‘Scott Pratt’. It is a lovely small tree, able to grow up to 6m tall and 6m wide with spectacular dark green leaves that have a purple tinge. In the warmer months it produces scented flowers that are a deep cherry red colour with lightly curled petals.

It is a lovely specimen plant for the garden thanks to its sculptural appearance and attractive flowers. It suits tropical style gardens but can also be grown in low maintenance gardens and waterwise gardens.  

It should be planted in full sun to part shade in well drained soils.
