One of the most well-known native fruit that is excellent to grow in the home garden. It will grow happily in the ground or in a large pot.

Position: Full sun, well drained and fertile soils

Size & Habit: Grafted plant, size is limited to 2m tall and 1m wide, shrub

Flower: White, autumn

Fruit: Tangy, flavoursome pearls, bright red, lime flavours

Skin: Dark, black brown skin 

Cropping: Winter and spring

Harvest/Maturity: 1-2 years until fruiting

Pollination: Self-fertile

Uses: Garnishing, adding to drinks and cocktails, desserts, pairs well with seafood
