Figs are an excellent productive shade tree for a large backyard, they are able to grow up to 5m tall and 5m wide. The plant should be grown in well-drained soil in a full sun position for best harvest. The fruits can be eaten straight off the tree, dried or cooked but they don’t ripen once picked so you must leave them to ripen on the tree.

Collins is a large white fig that fruits mid season.
