Davidsonia jerseyana – ‘Davidson’s Plum’
$34.99
Also known as Mullumbimby plum, Davidson’s Plum produces large, purple plum-like fruits in clusters on the trunk. Fruiting occurs November to February. Fruits have a pleasant sourness and are high in antioxidants and vitamins. Used in both sweet and savoury jams and chutneys, and also can be made into wine.
The tree is tall and slender, able to be planted in narrow spaces. Plant into rich, well drained soil and protect from full sun and wind when young. Can reach 10m in the wild but commonly reaches 4-8m in cultivation.
