FEATURES: A small, deciduous, growing bush suited to climate areas with a cool winter
SIZE: 1m H x 60cm W
POSITION: Full sun in a well drained soil
FOLIAGE: Green, three to five lobed leaves
FLOWER: Pale, yellow flowers develop into small transclucent white berries
FRUIT: Clusters of white berries in late December to January
CROPPING: Produces multiple branches from which green-yellow flowers emerge in spring, followed by berries hanging in small trusses
MATURITY: Should have fruit from two to five years after planting
POLLINATION: Self pollinating
USES: Juices, preserves, jellies, pies
COMMENTS: Fertilise when planting and again when green growth appears, then shelter from hot summer winds. Plant goes into dormancy late autumn early winter when it loses its leaves.
