Camellia sasanqua 

Price range: $32.99 through $94.99

FEATURES: An extremely popular and versatile plant, from the sasanqua species which is sun and warm weather hardy,

SIZE: It grows to 2.5m H and 2m W

FOLIAGE: Dense growth and smaller green leaves

FLOWER: Single flowers that are white in the centre with bright pink edging on the outside of the petals

POSITION: In a sunny, partly shaded spot that is sheltered

USES: Can be pruned into a small tree, shrub, espaliered or used as a hedge

COMMENTS: Needs acidic soils prepared with lots of organic matter. Keep moist during summer with regular applications of mulch to keep the roots cool.
