Camellia japonica – ‘Grace Albritton’

An extremely popular and versatile plant, it can be pruned into a small tree, shrub, espaliered or used as a hedge. They have beautiful flowers and are an excellent addition to any garden. They need acidic soils so should only be added into the ground when you have prepared the soil for them with lots of organic matter. They should be kept moist during summer with regular applications of mulch to keep the roots cool. 

‘Grace Albritton’ is a mid-season camellia with double, light pink petals that are edged with a darker pink. The flowers are produced in autumn and winter. It is an upright shrub growing up to 4m tall and 3m wide. It should be grown in a position protected from afternoon sun and heat, especially during summer.
