Zutano is an avocado from the group B pollinators –  meaning it will pollinate varieties from group A and requires cross pollination from a group A avocado. Fruit is medium sized, pear shaped, with thin glossy green skin, similar in appearance to the Fuerte. Skin remains green when ripe, and flesh is pale green with a fibrous texture. Flavour can be considered watery. Zutano is a heavy producer and is more cold tolerant than other varieties . Plant in a sunny but protected position in well-drained enriched soil.
