Citrus glauca –‘Desert Lime Desert Ice’

Position: Full sun, plant on its own as it does not like root competition

Size & Habit: 3m tall x 2m wide, thorny shrub

Flower: White, scented, spring

Fruit: Small, tart

Skin: Yellow/ green, thin and edible

Cropping: Warmer months of the year, pick only ripe fruit. Ripe fruit will easily come away from the stem

Harvest/Maturity: 2-3 years

Pollination: Self-fertile

Uses: Jams, jellies, adding flavour to baked dishes, syrups, flavouring seafood and poultry dishes, the fruit freezes well so can be stored until the harvest is big enough to use.
