Citrus x sinensis – ‘Valencia Delta’

Position: Full sun position, does not like root competition so do not underplant

Size & Habit: 4m x 4m, upright growth habit

Flower: White flower, lovely perfume, spring

Fruit: Large fruit, sweet, excellent flavour, high juice content, seedless

Skin: Orange but can turn back to green if left on the tree over summer, thin skin

Cropping: Crops earlier than standard valencia, fruits from late spring into summer, fruit can be held on the tree for up to 7 months

Harvest/Maturity: 3 to 4 years

Pollination: Self fertile

Uses: Excellent juicing fruit, can be added to salads, used in dressings and sauces, added to baking recipes and eaten fresh off the tree
