Tradescantia sillamontana – ‘White Velvet’

 

$14.99 – $19.99

A lovely plant with silver haired green sword-shaped leaves that grows in a rosette form. It can reach 30cm tall and 50cm wide and has a trailing habit that lends itself well to pots and containers. The more sun and less water it receives the more silver the plant leaves will be. To encourage branching tip prune and after flowering prune back the stems with spent flowers for a second flush of blooms.

If grown indoors it loves a brightly lit position near a window, and a weekly water through the warm months. Plant into premium potting mix and fertilise with a quality liquid fertiliser such as Home Grown Tonic.
