Philodendron hastatum – ‘Silver Sword’

FEATURES: A climbing variety of Philodendron, known for its distinctive, elongated, metallic, sword shaped leaves that become more lobed and blue with maturity. Will love a coir pole or stake to climb. This unique, easy to grow variety will add a metallic sheen to your green life..

HEIGHT X WIDTH: 3-4 meters if given something to climb x 75cm

FOLIAGE: Unique, pale metallic grey juvenile leaves, which become a deeper blue colour as the plant matures.

FLOWER: Insignificant

POSITION: Indoors- bright, indirect light, outdoors- shaded, morning light, tropical gardens

USES: Houseplant, beginner plant gift, tropical gardens, shaded gardens, trellises or coir pole, hanging pots

COMMENTS: Needs well-draining potting mix, fertilise monthly during the warmer months of the year with a foliar fertiliser or a liquid fertiliser. Water when the top 1 inch of soil is dry.  Loves humidity. Avoid drafts or dramatic temp changes. Toxic to pets and humans in ingested.
