A lush perennial that produces the fleshy rhizomes used commonly as a culinary spice. Bears pink and white buds that open to yellow flowers.

Grow in a partly shaded position in moist, well-drained soil. Protect from hot sun. In cooler climates, plant will go dormant through winter. Harvest rhizomes when leaves wither. Grows 1 x 1.5m
