Citrus maxima – ‘Pink Pomelo/Pummelo’

A fantastic citrus able to grow up to 7m tall and 7m wide with enormous fruit. The fruit has a green exterior and a thick rind with a sweet/ tart pink flesh. It has an umbrella like canopy with glossy green leaves and produces white flowers in spring that are very fragrant. 

It can be used as an attractive and productive shade tree. It is also a great plant to espalier or use as a screen.

It should be grown in full sun in fertile, well drained soils. It is a rainforest tree so does need regular watering especially during hot and dry periods.
