Tetragonia tetragonioides – ‘Warrigal Greens’
$16.99
Australia’s answer to English Spinach! Leaves are rich in oxalates – should be blanched or cooked before eating. Can be enjoyed in soups, stews or stir fries or simply just steamed!
Low growing, up to 20 cm, but can spread up to 2 m wide. Can be grown in sun or shade and although they tolerate poor soil, they are best grown in moist, rich but well-draining loam. May die back during winter but will grow again once the warm weather returns. In cold areas treat as an annual.
