Tibouchina heteromalla – ‘Jules’

A lovely evergreen shrub growing to 1m tall and 1m wide with velvet textured green leaves with attractive red margins. In autumn the plant is covered in bright purple flowers that are so vigourous they almost hide the leaves from view. It is a lovely shrub for protected gardens, patio containers and sheltered rockeries. It needs to be protected from frost, cold and strong winds and should be grown in a partially shaded area with regular watering in summer.
