A medium sized, evergreen shrub commonly used as a culinary herb because of its pungent anise flavoured foliage. The yellow autumn flowers attract birds and insects to the garden.

Position: Plant in almost any spot in the garden with part to full sun. Needs excellent drainage as doesn’t like wet feet. 

Uses: Classic partner to chicken, fish and eggs. Use in sauces, butters and vinegars.
