A large evergreen shade tree with small dense foliage and attractive hanging flowers followed by edible pods. It is wind tolerant, commonly grown in the north of the state where it is able to withstand cyclones.

Flower: Pink and cream, spring and summer
Fruit: Elongated pod, sweet to sour pulp
Skin: Hard, brown
Cropping: Year round, pods may take up to 10 months to mature

Pollination: Self-fertile but does best with cross pollination
