Tacca chantrieri – ‘Black Bat Plant’

Price range: $19.99 through $44.99

A wonderful specimen for a shady tropical garden or a collector’s plant for green houses and shade houses. The Black Bat Plant has an exceptionally unique flower, with a dark colouration and pale filaments draping from the flower. 

It does need to be protected from the cold and needs high humidity to thrive but it is well worth the effort if you are able to get flowers. 

It should be grown in a full shade position in the garden, in well drained, moist soil.
