Syzygium australe – “Resilience”

Resilience is a form of Syzygium known for its brilliant red new growth. During summer, Resilience blooms with fluffy white flowers, followed by small, edible berries. It is highly resistant to many pests, diseases and psyllids which can affect many Lilly Pillies. Resilience is ideal for hedging, screening and topiary and can be grown in containers. Plant in a warm area, protected from frost and well drained soil.

Strong and hardy, it reaches 4m high with a spread of 1.5m.

Position: Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. Great for large tubs as a weeping specimen. Prune into a dense colourful hedge.
