Syzygium australe – “Bush Christmas”

A compact syzygium (lillypilly) that unpruned will reach up to 3 metres and a spread of 1.5m. Its dense habit makes it perfect for topiary, shaping and hedging. During the winter months it has attractive red/orange new growth. Produces a white flower followed by an edible berry (if not pruned).

Growth: 3m x 1.5m

Position: Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. Great for pots. Prune regularly to maintain compact growth.
