Stachys byzantina – Moonlight

Fast growing ground cover perennial with soft grey-green leaves. Hardy and frost tolerant – foliage does die down nearing end of Winter and refreshed by new growth in Spring.

Position: Full sun in open beds under flowering shrubs. 

Flowers: Spikes of lilac flowers on erect stems in summer

Foliage: Compact mats of grey woolly foliage that gives it the look of Lamb’s ears. 

Size: 15-20cm H x 30-60cm W

Uses:  Harmonises nicely with roses and all white gardens.  Weed suppressant groundcover.
