This salvia is a reliable and hardy shrub growing to 1m tall and 1m wide. It has lovely flowers with a white base colour and a red lip, it is excellent in containers and a perfect plant for cottage gardens.  It can be cut back hard at virtually any time to encourage new growth and more flowers. It should be grown in a full sun to part shade position in well drained soils.
