A tough and adaptable fruiting tree with an ornamental appearance that grows well in our Mediterranean climate. The fruit are high in antioxidants and help to boost the immune system. 

Position: A warm position with free draining soil. 

Size & Habit: Up to 5m x 5m, typically has a multi stemmed, shrubby habit

Flower: Red to orange, tubular

Fruit: Large, red arils, rich flavour with some acidity

Skin: Deep red, thick

Cropping: Fruit ripens between March and May

Harvest/Maturity: Will take 3-4 years to begin to crop 

Pollination: Self-fertile

Uses: Adding to salads, juicing, eating fresh off the tree, chutney, garnishing Middle Eastern dishes
