Plectranthus saccatus – ‘Velvet Elvis’

$14.99

A bright perennial plant with textured, green leaves with a deep purple underside. It can grow up to 70cm tall and 80cm wide. From late summer through to early winter they produce tall spikes of tubular, lavender flowers with dark purple splashes.  

It is a perfect border or free standing small shrub for cottage, low maintenance and waterwise gardens. It can also be grown in pots and is able to be moved indoors while flowering to bring a lovely pop of colour inside. 

It should be planted in well drained soils in a part to full shade position. The tall flower spikes should be pruned once spent and the plant can also be pruned back to shape after flowering. Once established this plant is dry tolerant.
