Platycerium bifurcatum ‘Elk Horn’

Elkhorn is an epiphytic fern, meaning it is naturally found growing on trees, rather than in soil. In cultivation, they can be grown either in soil, or attached to a backing board, with any gaps filled with sphagnum moss. This allows the fronds to reach out, rather than growing directly up.

If kept indoors, keep in a bright position close to a window and ensure the soil or backing moss does not completely dry out. Feed occasionally with a quality indoor liquid fertiliser.
