Ornamental pears are one of the best trees for Perth gardens tolerating heat and periods of dry. Most varieties also take wet positions and heavy soils as well as variable soil pH, some even do coastal sites. Plant in full sun for best flowering and autumn colour.

Very pretty ornamental pear with fine birch-like leaves emerging silver-green. Generally a later flower than other ornamental pears.

Growth Rate: Moderate

Foliage: New growth emerged silver-green and matures to mid-green. Yellow in autumn.

Flower: White flowers during spring. Flowers later than other ornamental pears

Bark: Grey-brown

Tolerances: Slightly alkaline soils and intermittently wet positions.
