An attractive bunching onion with no or small bulbs. It comes from Asia where it is a staple part of most cuisines.

Position: Needs a reasonable amount of sun. Responds well to summer watering and don’t like being over crowded. Can be grown in pots.

Uses: Very attractive as an ornamental border.  In sauces and salad dressings, added to green salads or in Asian dishes especially when a more delicate flavour is needed. They can also be added late in the cooking or even as a garnish.
