An attractive bunching onion with no or small bulbs and rich red stems. It comes from Asia where it is a staple part of most cuisines.

Position:  Sunny location in most garden beds. Doesn’t like being overcrowded and responds well to summer watering. Can be grown in pots.

Uses: In sauces and salad dressings, added to green salads or in Asian dishes that need a more delicate taste. Make an excellent garnish. Also very attractive as an ornamental border in the garden.
