Nymphaea spp – ‘Florida Sunset’

FEATURES: Large flowers, provides shade and shelter for aquatic life

HEIGHT X WIDTH: 1.5m x 1.5m

FOLIAGE: Large, round, green with bronze speckling

FLOWER: Open, double-petalled, apricot, spring to autumn

POSITION: Full sun to part shade

USES: Ponds, dams, natural pools, water bowls

COMMENTS: It will flower all throughout the warmer months but needs at least 5 hours of full sun per day to induce flowering. It should be planted in a large pot with some waterlily fertiliser and submerged at least 40cm below the water level. In winter it may lose all its leaves and die down to the rhizome but it will regrow in spring.
