Mentha australis – ‘River Mint’

 

$16.99

Smaller, more delicate relative of the common peppermint and spearmint. Use as a replacement for regular mint in sauces, salads, dressings, dips, roasts, desserts, teas and cocktails. May be used dried or fresh.

Grows approximately 30cm high and will spread in excess of 1m if allowed to do so, although it is less rampant than other mints. Loves moisture and shade, does best in boggy soil. Prune regularly. Can be grown in a pot to control spread.
