Native Lemongrass – Tucker Bush
Cymbopogon ambiguus ‘Native Lemongrass’
An aromatic Australian native grass, traditionally used by the Aboriginal people to treat flu symptoms, chest infections and skin sores.
For cooking harvest when about 30cm tall, cutting off stalks that are around 1-2cm thick at the base. Slice and use as needed – can also be frozen or dried for storage.
Generally grows to 90cm tall but will remain more compact if kept in a pot. Grow in full sun to part shade. Drought and coastal tolerant.
